Art has long been seen as something reserved for galleries, collectors, and those with significant disposable income. For many people, original artwork feels out of reach—priced too high, displayed in intimidating spaces, and disconnected from everyday life. Yet art is meant to be experienced, owned, and enjoyed by everyone.
That’s where we come in.
Affordable South African Art exists to break down these barriers by offering, among other types of art, a revitalised form, called ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals).
ACEOs are small, collectible pieces of original art that are accessible in both size and price. They differ from Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), which in the past were not sold, rather, traded exclusively between artists.
Now, these miniature artworks are accessible to you! They allow you to start, or grow, your art collection without the financial pressure typically associated with buying art, while still owning something authentic and meaningful.
Beyond affordability, our mission is rooted in supporting local South African artists. Every purchase contributes directly to creatives who pour their skill, culture, and stories into their work. By choosing locally made art, you’re not just decorating a space—you’re helping sustain livelihoods, preserve artistic expression, and strengthen the creative economy within our communities.
We believe art should be for your home, your life, and your story—not locked away behind high price tags or gallery walls.

This is the first piece of art I could afford on a students wage. It's the most beautiful thing I own. -UF

What a lovely addition to my new collection of mini-art. I will be buying more in the future. -RC

I was so happy to find a local store to buy the cards and sleeves. It saves me time so I can focus on creating -AS
